David Taylor is a Sydney based photographer specialising in fashion, hair and beauty. After 3 years working with Mediavast (Film Magic and Wireimage) David is one of the most experienced runway photographers in Australia with work published worldwide. David's passion for photography began at high school where an Olympus OM10 and a shed converted by his father into a darkroom provided the platform for an entry into art and fashion photography. After school, photography took a back seat to life as a roady and lighting engineer for many years. David's interest in photography was reawakened by a chance associating with well known American fashion photographer Calum McDonald while living in Manly in early 2006. Since then David has worked on most of Australia's fashion events and a number of high profile designers and Brands including Lisa Ho, Redken, Frisoni Finetti, Alex Perry, Australian Fashion Week, Nina Field. David currently has contracts with a number of publishers and well known Australian labels and is a member of both the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) and the Australian Commercial and Media Photographers association (ACMP).
